Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Online, Faculty members, Graduate students, Post-docs and research staff, University staff, Research practices, Scholarly communication,

Registration is required.

Do I need permission to use a test or measure as part of my research? How much of a work can I copy and share with my students? Can I use copyright figures and images in my slides?

This workshop will cover scenarios and best practices, providing attendees with insights into balancing intellectual property rights and the pursuit of knowledge in the context of the university's fair dealing policy. We will also begin to explore emerging topics related to fair dealing and artificial intelligence, particularly the implications for text and data mining.
